What is diarrhea?
Diarrhea is when you have loose or watery poop. Diarrhea can cause dehydration because the body loses large amounts of water.
What are possible causes?
- Poor absorption of food (malabsorption)
- Certain medications
- Food intolerances
- Infection
What are some symptoms?
- Urgent need to use the bathroom
- Loose, watery poop
- Stomach pain
- Bloating
- Nausea

What to do?
- Stay hydrated
- Choose fiber foods
- Choose low fat foods
- Avoid sugary foods and drinks
- Avoid caffeine
- Avoid alcohol
- Avoid dairy products
- Avoid spicy foods
- Choose smaller, more frequent meals
- Slowly reintroduce food
