Heart Attack

What is heart attack?
Heart attack is when a part of your heart does not get enough blood. Fat build-up or a blood clot blockage prevents blood flow in the artery.
What are possible causes?
- Coronary artery disease
What are some symptoms?
- Pain in jaw, neck or back
- Pain in one or both arms
- Feeling weak or faint
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain

What to do?
- Choose a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein
- Choose more plant based protein
- Choose healthy fats
- Limit salt
- Limit refined and sugary foods
- Limit alcohol
- Regular exercise
- Consult a doctor or dietitian before making big changes
