Heart

What does it do?

Its job is to pump blood throughout the body. Blood travels through arteries and veins. Blood delivers oxygen to the cells. The cells use oxygen to process stored energy.

How does it work?

When blood runs out of oxygen, it is pumped to the heart through veins.

From the heart, it is pumped to the lungs. It picks up oxygen in the lungs.
